CLARIFICATIONS ON RUMOUR ABOUT IBAIS UNIVERSITY

Notice
This is to inform all concerned that the IBAISU Administration has recently noted some ill-motivated attempts of a person to undermine the good reputation of this university. With the intent of creating confusion among people, some Mr. Zakaria Lincoln, using the name and logo of this university has set a signboard: IBAIS UNIVERSITY at House # 27, Mohammadia Housing Society, Mohammadpur, Dhaka. He has also circulated some distorted information in daily newspapers against this university, which do not carry any legitimate validity.
Please note that, University Grant Commission (UGC) is the sole authority of the Government to permit establishment of a university and to approve the location of its campus. Without UGC approval, establishment of a university or its campus stand null and void. Mr. Zakaria Lincoln does not have any valid permission from UGC. As per Private University Act 13(2) of 2010, “there is no scope of having any extra branch or campus of a university other than the main campus”. Therefore, UGC has issued a letter on 16 June 2013 (UGC/Be-Bi/400(3)/02/5224) to all concerned stating the illegitimacy of Mr. Zakaria Lincoln’s so called campus at Mohammadpur (copy attached). UGC also mentioned in the letter that the Government approved and legitimate address of IBAISU main campus is at:

The IBAISU Administration is fully aware of Mr. Zakaria Lincoln’s immoral intent and has already initiated appropriate legal measures to deal with his activities.
Therefore, all concerned, especially the students and the parents are requested to bear with this unexpected situation with patience, which the IBAISU Administration hopes to overcome within a short time.
