Academic Facilities

IBAIS University has significant number of qualified faculty and human resources. It has sufficient physical and financial resources. The University has created an appropriate environment for students to acquire knowledge.

FACULTY

The IBAIS University faculty comprises of a unique blend of teachers, researchers and practitioners. The faculty consists of a distinguished body of scholars with proven teaching and research excellence. Many have doctoral degrees from renowned universities. Many faculty members are professionals with varied experiences. The University attracts visiting faculty members from the USA, Canada, the UK, Australia and other western countries, which brings diversity and richness in the learning environment.

CAMPUS

The present campus of IBAIS University is located at Dhanmondi Residential area in Dhaka city. The campus has excellent communication links to all parts of the city as well as outside the city. Its three premises housed in large four buildings accommodate Schools, Departments, Lounges, Information Desk, Classrooms, Labs, Library, Auditorium, the Vice- Chancellor’s Office, the Pro Vice-Chancellor’s Office, Treasurer’s Office, Registrar’s Office, Office of the Controller of Exams, Proctor’s Office,  Administrative Office, Account’s Office, Auditorium, Canteens, Students’ common rooms, and car parking facilities for the faculty and students.

THE PERMANENT CAMPUS

The university has planned to shift its activities to the permanent new campus in two to three years. The university has already acquired land in Amin Bazar and Saver. The university intends to buy more land in and around the Dhaka City. The process of construction of permanent building is under process.

CLASSROOMS

The IBAIS University has classrooms of various sizes, ranging from regular one that can hold 30-40 seats to large ones with a capacity of 60 to 70 seats. Its classroom is fully air-conditioned and equipped with multimedia and overhead projectors.

LIBRARY

The IBAIS University aims to provide support for learning, teaching and research activities. The Library supports the curriculum and research needs of the University community through pertinent collections of books, periodicals, articles, journals and e-journals. The library has over 30,000 of books, journals and access to e-journals.    

LABS

The University has highly equipped laboratories including computer, digital, electronic, electrical, telecommunications, training restaurant, housekeeping, food processing and language labs.

CENTER FOR TRAINING AND RESEARCH

The university has established a research center to facilitate research by its faculty and graduate students. The objective of this center is to create an environment for research by providing services ranging from data collection to basic research. The center organizes regular seminars and workshops as a means  to disseminate research  results and to foster collaboration among the researchers within and  beyond the university.

IBAIS UNIVERSITY JOURNALS

The IBAIS University publishes peer reviewed journals. The journals contain articles relevant to economy, business, science and engineering, literature and law. The contributions come from both within and outside the university.

THE IBAIS UNIVERSITY ALUMNI ASSOCITION

The university has established its Alumni Association. The Association provides professional and personal enrichment opportunities for Alumni through educational, informational and social events. It is intended to provide services such as helping students, finding jobs, career advice, sharing job experiences and raising fund for the welfare of the Alumni. Any graduate of IBAIS University who has obtained a regular or an honorary degree is eligible for the membership of the association.
